Real Estate, Construction, Property Defect and Damage Attorney Christopher Stow-Serge wearing a dark colored suit, light colored shirt and Hermes tie

Christopher T. Stow-Serge is a dedicated and experienced attorney focusing on real estate, property damage, construction, property-related tax issues, and short-term rental law. As an attorney with firsthand experience in construction management, real estate investing, and operations, Christopher possesses a distinctive perspective on the legal challenges and opportunities within these industries.

Christopher began his legal career as a Judicial Clerk for Judge Fredericka H. Wicker at the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal of Louisiana in Gretna, where he researched and drafted opinions on disputes, including construction defect claims, redhibition claims, land use, and alleged violations of the New Home Warranty Act. He then joined the Mandeville office of a regional law firm, where he represented small and medium-sized businesses in litigation related to insurance coverage and construction defect claims. During his time at the firm, Christopher litigated claims over public works, commercial construction defects, construction defects in new home construction, and contractual disputes and negligence claims in residential renovation projects.

In 2016, Christopher joined a boutique litigation firm that focused on unfair competition claims; he also founded his New Orleans-based real estate investment business. As the principal of Stowaway Homes LLC, Christopher has led a team responsible for over $12.2 million in transactions, including property acquisitions, permitting, contracting, and sales. He has successfully secured commercial financing and private investors for property acquisitions. He also gained hands-on experience in construction management and the operation of short-term rentals. This deep understanding of both the legal and practical realities of real estate and construction law allows Christopher to provide clients with invaluable strategic insights as they navigate the legal process.
